Riley Sickle Cell Awareness Walk & 3K, a powerful community event brought to you by the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County & Treasure Coast, Inc. Named in memory of an extraordinary young man who was the first SCF of PBC Walkathon Poster Child in 2004. The Awareness Walk honors the legacy of Jordan A. Riley whose life, though brief, left a lasting impression. He was a true warrior resilient, brave, and determined to live life to the fullest despite the pain he quietly endured. He was known for his warm loving smile and for the kindness he extended to everyone he knew and met. Jordan lost his battle with Sickle Cell Disease and passed away at 25 years old in October 2024. His courage, strength, and determination continues to inspire all who knew him. The Awareness Walk is more than tribute; it is a call to action! It is a day dedicated to honoring those who live with Sickle Cell Disease and Trait. To remember those we've lost and stand together in solidarity for a cause that touches countless lives. The Awareness Walk supports SCF's programs that empower families, provide vital education, and improve the quality of life for individuals living with Sickle Disease and Trait.
