Join us on a low-key, easy getaway at San Onofre State Beach—just one night to relax, hang out, and get outside without committing to a full weekend. This trip will feature an instructor-led surf lesson. Wetsuits and boards provided. Please know that surfing is not mandatory for this trip but recommended if you want to try something new. 📍San Onofre State Beach --San Mateo Campground San Onofre State Beach at a Glimpse: With more than three miles of shoreline, the park attracts visitors year-round for world-class surfing, swimming, sunbathing, and sweeping ocean views. An iconic surf destination since the 1930s, this stretch of coastline has played a pivotal role in shaping California’s surf culture. It is also the ancestral home of the Acjachemen (Juaneño) people and lies on leased land within U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. What else to expect: This trip includes your camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, headlamp), transportation, dinner and light breakfast. Optional surfing lesson (wetsuit and surfboard). Must be a confident swimmer.
