About this event

This is a non-competitive bike/walk event. Bikers will be required to travel at a safe speed and be expected to respect the safety of walking participants. Sign in is at event pavilion from 10:30-11:30 AM. 2026 RCIA Scavenger Hunt/Bike/Walk event officially begins at 11:00 AM. Only one (1) Token will be redeemed per family. After sign in each registered participant will receive a package containing: 1-Event T-shirt 1-Lunch ticket 1-List of 2026 RCIA Scavenger Hunt clues 1-Clinton Hills Conservation Area trail map 1-Local Bike Trail map Adult registration is $25.00. Registrants 11 years of age and under are free; however, they will not receive an event T-shirt in their event package. There will be a small collection of toys from which the younger children may choose. No registrations will be accepted the day of the event. All Participants must sign a waiver of liability. Those 17 years of age and under must be accompanied by an parent who has signed a waiver of liability for that child. Participants can choose to ride or walk the event course. The biking trail is 2.8 miles long. Bicycles must be walked or parked in the grass off the paved trail when searching the park for RCIA Scavenger Hunt tokens. Biking participants will start and end at the crossover from the lower parking lot to the trail. The Clinton Hills Conservation Area bike trail connects to a much larger system of bike trails maintained by local communities and the St. Clair County Transit District at the crossing on Old Collinsville Road; however, once you leave Clinton Hills Conservation Area you are traveling outside the RCIA’s Tour de Clinton Hills event and you are traveling these trails at your own risk. Walking trail is 1.25 miles long with many additional paths to explore while looking for RCIA Scavenger Hunt tokens. Walking participants will start and end at the event pavilion. Lunch will be served from 12:00-2:00 PM. Early Richland Creek costumed re-enactor will speak and then answer participant questions from 1:30-2:00 PM. From 2:00-3:00 PM there will be a showing of the award winning documentary “Richland Creek A Stream In Transition”. Followed by the premier of the short documentary “The Bike Trails of St. Clair County”. Event ends at the conclusion of the documentary viewing.
