2026 Central Cycling Classic

Join us for the 2026 Central Cycling Classic in support of Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM). All you need is a bike and a route. Riders can participate in the live sponsored ride on Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at the American Legion in State College. This event is sanctioned by USA Cycling (ID: #15371) RegistrationRegister early to save.The registration fee increases to $65 on April 1, $70 on May 1, and $75 on event day. 2026 Ride RoutesAll routes begin at the American Legion in State College.Metric Century – 62.4 Miles (RED Route)Riders should arrive between 7:00 and 7:15 AM with a departure no later than 7:30 AM.Downloadable route files are available through the route link. Once the map is open, select the “More” dropdown in the left panel to download .gpx or other route files. Half Metric Century – 30.6 Miles (BLUE Route)Riders should arrive between 8:00 and 8:15 AM with a departure no later than 8:30 AM.Downloadable route files are available through the route link. Intermediate Ride – 20.6 Miles (WHITE Route)Riders should arrive between 9:00 and 9:15 AM with a departure no later than 9:30 AM.Downloadable route files are available through the route link. Virtual Ride OptionPrefer to ride on your own schedule? Create your own route and participate virtually from anywhere.If you ride virtually, share your ride on social media and tag CVIM so we can celebrate your success.A parent or guardian must accompany all riders under age 18. Event StartThe event will use a rolling start, allowing cyclists to depart when they are ready within their designated start window on their route. Route NavigationRiders will have multiple tools available to help follow their route.Road markings and signage will be color-coded by route. Cue sheets and downloadable .gpx files will also be available.Riders may also choose to download the RideWithGPS mobile app. Turn-by-turn voice navigation is available with a basic subscription. We recommend downloading and testing the app before event day. e-BikesAll routes are e-bike friendly. FundraisingFundraising is encouraged but not required.Participants may create a fundraising page through PledgeReg and invite friends, family, and coworkers to support their ride. Every dollar raised helps CVIM provide free medical, dental, behavioral health, case management, and medication assistance to uninsured neighbors in Centre County.If you are unable to ride, you can still support the event by donating to a cyclist or the event directly. Weather PolicyThis event will take place rain or shine, and registration fees are non-refundable.In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, the event may transition to a fully virtual ride, and registration fees will be treated as a donation to Centre Volunteers in Medicine. Event UpdatesPlease review the published routes before event day, as summer construction projects may impact routes.Final event details and updates will be emailed to riders on Wednesday before the ride.
