About this event
Our Why: Sgt. Nevada Krinkee was an army veteran and served the community of Sheridan WY for 7 years on the Sheridan Police Department. On February 13, 2024 at the age of 33, Sgt. Krinkee was killed in the line of duty. His family has created the race to provide the opportunity for the community to remember and celebrate his service and life. In line with our non-profit mission “To honor the memory of Sgt. Nevada Krinkee by raising funds that support the causes he believed in”, the primary recipient of the 2026, third annual race profits will be the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter. Races: 5k Run/Walk Race (all ages welcome and timed) 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (kids 12 & under is timed, 13 & up is untimed) Award Divisions - 5k: Overall Male & Female Champions 1st-3rd Place all Age Divisions - Male/Female Teams- Fastest Team (top 3 times) Largest Team Award Divisions - 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: Youth (4yr-12yr) : 1st-3rd in age divisions, all youth finishers receive medal Adult (13yr & up) : untimed, non-competitive. What's Included: MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED! Race T-Shirt (no shirt guarantee when registering after Sept. 1st) Kid Fun Zone! Kids and adults alike can tour first responder vehicles (law enforcement vehicles, fire truck, ambulance) Inflatables *All swag not guaranteed if registered after Sept. 1st Is This Race For You? This race is for anyone who would like to celebrate and honor the life and service of Sgt. Nevada Krinkee and support the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan where the profits will be donated to. Walk, Jog, Run - all welcome! Strollers allowed. 5k Team Options - participants may run as individuals or organize teams. Individuals entered in a team will also be eligible for individual awards. Teams may include adults and/or youth.
