Last Mile 5k Run/Walk

Since 2006, Gifford’s mission through the Last Mile event is to make life’s last mile for patients, their loved ones and families as smooth a road as possible. That could mean meals, travel accommodations, coordinating special events, transportation to appointments, in-home care, funeral expenses or just one final wish being fulfilled. The Last Mile’s three-day event raises funds to provide palliative care services to patients staying in the hospital. Some benefit from end-of-life care in Gifford’s two Garden Rooms, special hospital suites with a peaceful atmosphere, garden access, and additional space for loved ones. Our grants also help patients who choose to remain at home.
