Panther Prowl 5K, 1 Mile Walk, or Virtual Event

The 16th Annual Pitman Education Foundation’s Panther Prowl will consist of a 5K run, 1 Mile Walk, and a virtual event. 5K Run: This is the classic 5K run that starts at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School, makes its way to Kindle Elementary School, then back to Pitman Jr/Sr High School. The run finishes with a lap around the high school track. This course crosses Pitman Ave and Holly Ave. There will be police and other volunteers at these busier intersections to stop traffic. There will be a water stop near the Kindle School. Additional volunteers will be along the route to stop traffic at other intersections. Please note, the course is only supported for 40 minutes. If you plan to walk, please participate in the 1 mile walk, not the 5K run. 1 Mile Walk: For participants who prefer to walk, the 1 Mile Walk is perfect. This event will start at the Pitman Jr/Sr High School immediately following the 5K start and goes through the streets close to the school. Virtual Event Info: The virtual event can be done anytime! You can run, walk, or even bike any route, anywhere, and for any distance. There is no specific course you need to use. Run or walk with your kids, your friends, your family, your dog! Participate to show your support for our wonderful teachers! Keep in mind that your run is virtual and will not be supported. After you finish, share a picture on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #virtuallyontheprowl. There will not be any awards for virtual participants, however, you will receive a Panther Prowl T-shirt. Event Parking: Participants may park on the streets around the Pitman Jr/Sr High School (where parking is permitted) and in the school parking lots. Free Kids Fun Run: The Kids Fun Run will occur immediately following the conclusion of the 5K. Kids of any age will run one lap around the track and receive a small prize. T-shirts guaranteed only if registered by 9/26/2025 Drive Through Packet Pick-up: Pitman Jr/Sr High School parking lot in front of school entrance (225 Linden Ave) on 10/16 from 5-6 PM All proceeds of this event go directly to funding grants for Pitman School District teachers. These grants help to fund things like subscriptions to online learning materials, books, musical instruments, art supplies, and special events. Thank you for participating!
