Run for a Cause. Run with the Y. The YMCA of Metro North and the Torigian Family YMCA are excited to host our annual Livestrong at the Y 5K & Half Marathon this Fall. This inspiring road race benefits Livestrong at the Y, a 12-week program that helps cancer survivors regain strength, balance, and confidence after treatment. Participants can choose from two event options: 5KHalf Marathon Whether you're a seasoned runner or new to the sport, there's something for everyone! Runners and walkers alike can enjoy a morning of community and support by signing up for the family-friendly 5K, or challenge themselves with the longer Half Marathon options. Registration includes post-race refreshments. Age-specific awards are available for 5K participants only. NEW for this year's 5K race! Our "Family Rate" allows 4 participants from the same family household to register together for just $100. This rate is for family members only-- perfect for parents, kids, and siblings ready to get active together! Participants in our four unique 5K races run or walk to support the YMCA of Metro North Annual Fund and raise money to provide access to YMCA child care, camp, and health and wellness programs to everyone. In 2025 the YMCA of Metro North provided more than $3 million in financial aid providing all children, adults and families with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body regardless of income.
