IRONMAN Florida — Panama City Beach

Race the flat, fast IRONMAN Florida course in beautiful Panama City Beach. Known as one of the most beginner-friendly full-distance IRONMAN courses in the world, this race is perfect for first-timers and athletes chasing personal records.

SWIM (2.4 miles): A point-to-point ocean swim in the warm Gulf of Mexico. Athletes swim parallel to the shore with the current, making for fast swim times. Water temperatures in early November are typically in the mid-70s°F, and wetsuits are usually optional. The beach start and finish make for an exciting spectator experience.

BIKE (112 miles): A two-loop, pancake-flat course through the scenic roads of Bay County. The route heads west along the coast before turning inland through pine forests and rural communities. With minimal elevation gain and smooth roads, this is consistently one of the fastest bike courses in IRONMAN racing. Aid stations every 10 miles provide full nutrition and hydration support.

RUN (26.2 miles): A two-loop run course along the stunning Panama City Beach waterfront. Athletes run along Front Beach Road with ocean views, through Pier Park, and along the scenic coastline. The flat course, cool November temperatures, and enthusiastic spectator support create ideal marathon conditions.

Panama City Beach offers affordable beachfront accommodations, excellent restaurants, and a relaxed Florida Panhandle atmosphere. The IRONMAN Village expo, practice swim, and athlete welcome dinner round out the race weekend experience. IRONMAN Florida is a key qualifying race for the IRONMAN World Championship.
