Owensboro YMCA BBQ 5K

Owensboro Family YMCA is proud to host the BBQ 5K on May 9th Downtown Owensboro. This race is in conjunction with the 2026 BBQ & Barrels event and the community is invited to run or walk with us; competitive racers will stage in the front of the start line at8:00 am and non-competitive racers will be at the back of the start line. Registration Pricing: $35 for Adults - $20 for Children 1-18 (registration will discount at the cart) Day of Race Registration: $40 (cannot guarantee shirt) Bag pick up will be Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8 (5am to 9pm) at the Owensboro Family YMCA, 900 KY Parkway, Owensboro Raceday Bag Pickup from 7-7:45am at race location T-shirts (on registrations received by April 26th)AwardsTop male and top female will get $100 worth of prizes. Medals will be given to the top 3 racers in each age group. Age Groups: ( 1-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99 ) Be sure to visit the BBQ & Barrels festival which begins at Noon on Friday May 8 and Sat. May 9. BBQ & Barrels represents the culmination of 45 years of a cultural tradition in Owensboro and Daviess County. It is the celebration of our past, our present, and ourfuture, bringing together two of Owensboro’s greatest culinary traditions– unique barbecue and historic Kentucky bourbon.
