Join us for a scenic run or walk that makes a difference in the community. Every step you take supports Family Promise of Ogden and its mission of compassion and empowerment. Together, we can make a difference! Date: Saturday, September 26 Start/Finish line: Harrisville Park Bowery (see map below) Race Time: 9:00 am 8:00 am- On-site registration opens (Cash or credit card accepted)8:30 am- Pre-registered participants arrive at Park Bowery8:45 am- Line-up at start line9:00 am- Races begin10:00 am- Medals and Raffle drawing More Than a Race: Empowering Families, Transforming Lives This event is more than just a competition; every step supports Family Promise of Ogden, a dedicated local nonprofit committed to preventing and ending family homelessness. By participating, you're directly helping vulnerable families in our community achieve sustainable independence and build brighter futures. Family Promise of Ogden's innovative programs and new community location represent a beacon of hope, providing critical resources, shelter, and support to families facing challenging circumstances. Their holistic approach doesn't just offer temporary relief, but creates meaningful, lasting community change. 100% of event proceeds will go directly to Family Promise of Ogden, ensuring that every registration and every mile contributes to transforming local families' lives. Race Details: Participants will embark on a scenic adventure following carefully marked routes. Whether you're a passionate runner or a leisurely walker, there's a perfect path for everyone. Runners will challenge themselves on a 5K route that winds past the new Family Promise building, symbolizing our community's commitment to caring for one another. Walkers can enjoy a relaxed one-mile scenic route. Kids under 12 can test their running legs on the one-mile route. Our dedicated volunteers will be strategically positioned along the entire course, ready to offer encouragement, assistance, and guidance. Fully stocked water stations will keep participants hydrated, and first aid personnel will ensure everyone's safety and comfort. All courses end back at the Harrisville Park Bowery. After conquering the course, participants and spectators can enjoy music, refreshments, and a raffle drawing. Prizes: Medals will be awarded to the top three runners in the following categories (walkers will not be timed): 5k run (16 and older Female)5k run (16 and older Male)5k run (under 16 years Female)5k run (under 16 years Male)Kids' 1-mile run (under 12 years) Raffle tickets for donated prize baskets will be sold during the event. You will receive one free ticket with your registration and an additional ticket for every $10 you donate to Family Promise that day. Between 10:00 and 10:30 am, we will award race medals and draw winners for the raffle baskets.
