Safe Harbors of the Hudson 5K

Run, walk, or stroll through the City of Newburgh in Safe Harbors’ annual 5K! With a course that features the incredible architecture of Newburgh’s historic district and stunning Hudson River views, this community-centered race is fun for runners and non-runners of all ages. The Safe Harbors 5K is part of Spring Into Newburgh, a city-wide celebration of the season featuring the Art on the Block outdoor art market, Newburgh Farmers’ Market, and Wellness Shines on the Green, a festival highlighting local wellness vendors and free fitness classes throughout the day. Come for the run and stay for the fun! Registration Adults (19+): $35 in advance, $45 at eventYouth 18 and Under: Free! Register by April 23 and receive a complimentary, limited edition 2026 Safe Harbors 5K shirt designed by Newburgh artist Steven Ciancanelli. Choose between a lightweight, moisture-wicking race shirt or a jersey cotton tank. For participants who register after April 23, shirts are subject to availability on the day of the race.
