Firecracker 5K Run/4K Walk

Celebrate summer with a patriotic bang! This race is sure to be a fast one on the flat Renfro Valley course. Proceeds benefit the Mount Vernon Lions Club. Event Details Race date: Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center5K Run/4K Walk starts at 8:00 a.m. ESTCheck in/packet pickup at 7:00 a.m.Registration fee $20, includes event t-shirt if registered by Wednesday, July 1st. (After July 1st, shirt inventory may be limited). Awards Overall male and female race winnerTop three male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 12-under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+Top three fastest male and female walkers NEW! Student Strides 2026 ALL students age 4-18 run FREE! No shirt included in registration, but may be added on for additional fee.Students who complete at least 7 races will receive a $25 gift card and custom t-shirt at the end of the 2026 series!
