Firecracker 5K Run/4K Walk

Celebrate summer with a patriotic bang! This race is sure to be a fast one on the flat Renfro Valley course. Proceeds benefit the Mount Vernon Lions Club. Event Details Race date: Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center5K Run/4K Walk starts at 8:00 a.m. ESTCheck in/packet pickup at 7:00 a.m.Registration fee $20, includes event t-shirt if registered by Monday, June 29th. (After June 29th, shirt inventory may be limited). Awards Overall male and female race winnerTop three male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 12-under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+Top three fastest male and female walkers Kids Club Young folks ages 18 & Under run or walk for FREE! No shirt included in registration, but may be added on for additional fee.Kids will receive a commemorative silicone bracelet each race! Collect 7 bracelets to receive a $25 gift card and custom Kids Club t-shirt at the end of the 2026 series! Kids must run or walk - no strollers - to be eligible for awards and incentives.
