About this event

The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana will host its third annual Healing Tribal Strong Rez Run 5K on Saturday, October 10, 2026, on the Tunica-Biloxi Reservation in Marksville, Louisiana. This year’s theme, “Steps of Tribal Strength: Every Story Counts,” honors the survivors, caregivers, family members, and loved ones whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Every step taken along the route will represent the courage, hope, and strength found when a community comes together in support of one another. More than a race, the Healing Tribal Strong Rez Run 5K is a movement. The event brings together Tribal members, families, businesses, organizations, and community supporters to raise awareness, inspire hope, and stand beside those affected by cancer. Proceeds from the event will benefit Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and support its work serving individuals and families impacted by cancer. The morning will also feature a farmers market, offering participants and visitors an opportunity to shop from local farmers, vendors, and small businesses while enjoying a day centered on health, community, and connection. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to enjoy a morning of fun, fitness, fellowship, and local flavor. Whether you are an experienced runner, prefer a relaxed walk, or simply want to support the cause and visit the farmers market, everyone is welcome. Lace up, show up, and take a step toward making a difference together. Visit healingtribalstrong.com to learn more.
