Hope in Every Step 5K & 0.5K Community Walk Hosted by Area Agency on Aging 3September 5, 2026Ottawa Metro Park – Wyandot Shelter2632 Ada Rd., Lima, OH 45801Start Time: 9:00 AM Join us for the Hope in Every Step 5K & 0.5K Community Walk benefiting the Area Agency on Aging 3 Awakenings Victim Outreach Program, which supports older adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Proceeds from this event go directly to support older adult victims in their recovery. Whether you are running, walking, or just wanting to support a good cause, this event is open to all ages and fitness levels. The 0.5K Community Walk is just over 1/4 mile in distance. The walk will kick off at 9:05am and supports AAA3’s annual 10 Million Steps to Prevent Falls Campaign to promote healthy aging and fall prevention. Regular exercise is one of many things people can do to lower their risk of falling. Do a lap or more! Registration 5K Registration: $20 Advance Registration5K Race Day Registration: $250.5K Walk: Free Day-of registrations are welcome, but T-shirts are not guaranteed. All 5K race participants will receive: Event t-shirt (while supplies last)Finisher medal All 0.5K Community Walk participants will receive: a walk completion pinresources and handouts Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Race Day Schedule 8:00 AM – Check-in & Registration Begins9:00 AM – Race and Walk Begins 9:05 AM - Community Walk Begins The race and walk will be sent off by RunToledo/Dave’s Running. Course Information The course is fully paved with some portions crossing wooden bridges. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. Strollers welcome! Following the race, refreshments, awards, and finisher medals will be provided. Together, we can help support older adults in our community, one step at a time!
