The Big Run 5K

A community 5K celebrating 50 years of Fleet Feet and Global Running Day! Celebrate five decades of running with Fleet Feet at The Big Run, presented by Brooks. Hosted by Fleet Feet Winston-Salem & Clemmons, this community 5K honors Global Running Day with summer vibes, shared memories, and the kind of runner's high that keeps you coming back. We're back at Ivey Redmon Park in Kernersville — and we can't wait to celebrate running with you. Let the good miles roll! The Course & Heats You'll run (or walk!) a beautiful cross-country course at Ivey Redmon Park. Because of the cross-country format, runners are divided into two heats: Heat 1 — Expected finish time under 30 minutes. Choose this heat if you are a more competitive runner. Heat 2 — Expected finish time 25 minutes or over. Choose this heat if you are a less competitive runner. After you cross the finish line, stick around for our post-race expo! Giving Back A portion of race proceeds will be donated to our Good Works Engine charity. Good Works Engine was formed in 2010 (formerly Mission: Feet First) and exists to aid the underprivileged. Through our charity we provide properly fitted shoes to local homeless, sheltered, and tent-city communities, as well as students in local low-income schools.
