Join us for a legendary race in the Eastern Sierra — an 8-mile uphill battle climbing 4,600 vertical feet to the historic ghost town of Cerro Gordo, once the richest silver mine in California. This is not your average run. This is a gut-check. A pilgrimage. A challenge against time, gravity, and yourself. The infamous Cerro Gordo Road was carved out in 1865 to shuttle silver down from the mountains. Now, once a year, runners race back up — chasing glory, chasing ghosts, and chasing history. What happens at the top When you summit the town, the day's just beginning. Cross the finish line and celebrate with: — A giant mountaintop BBQ with mains, sides, and drinks— Live music and games— Self-guided exploration of the abandoned town— A well-earned sense of triumph What's included with your entry — Aid stations every mile, stocked with fuel and encouragement— A limited-edition Silver Run 2027 shirt and finisher's medal— Mountaintop BBQ (mains, sides, drinks)— Shuttle vans for the ride back down— Eternal bragging rights — the winner's name is engraved in silver and enshrined in Cerro Gordo's history The bar to beat 2026 winning time: 1:18:26 by Garrett Patrick. Think you've got what it takes? See the full 2026 results: https://my.raceresult.com/401628/ For everyone, not just the fastest There's no time limit. Whether you finish in 1 hour or 5, this mountain has room for all. We've had teenagers run alongside their parents. We've had two 82-year-olds cross the finish line in the same year. All are welcome — as long as you're willing to dig deep and climb. ---- Camping & Lodging Keeler camping (closest & cheapest): Our neighbor offers camping spots in Keeler, CA, less than a quarter mile from the starting line, for $20/spot.
