IRONMAN Jacksonville — Inaugural Event

IRONMAN Jacksonville brings a bold new challenge to Florida's Atlantic coast. This inaugural full-distance IRONMAN debuts in a city known for its athletic spirit, vibrant culture, and deep community pride.

SWIM (2.4 miles): Athletes will swim in the warm Atlantic waters off Jacksonville's coastline. The ocean swim offers a unique challenge compared to the lake and river swims found at other IRONMAN events, with potential surf conditions adding excitement.

BIKE (112 miles): The bike course explores the scenic roads of northeast Florida, passing through coastal communities, maritime forests, and the beautiful First Coast landscape. Jacksonville's relatively flat terrain makes for fast cycling.

RUN (26.2 miles): The run course showcases Jacksonville's waterfront, parks, and vibrant neighborhoods. Athletes will experience the city's energy and enthusiastic spectator support throughout the marathon.

As the newest addition to the IRONMAN circuit, Jacksonville offers athletes the chance to be part of history at an inaugural event. The city's extensive hotel options, dining scene, and proximity to the beach make it an attractive race weekend destination. This race serves as a qualifying event for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
