About this event
Run Through a Landscape Worth Protecting Join us for the 2nd Annual Run for the Range and experience one of North Texas' most unique trail-running events while supporting the conservation of Texas working lands. Set on the breathtaking 1,500-acre Fall Creek Ranch, runners will traverse rolling hills, native grasslands, rugged trails, creek crossings, and diverse wildlife habitat that have been permanently protected through a conservation easement with the Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT). After crossing the finish line, stick around for warm food, cold beer, live music, and fellowship with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and conservation supporters. Why Trail Runners Love This Course Exclusive access to a private ranch not normally open to the publicScenic trails winding through native prairie, woodlands, and creek corridorsRolling terrain that offers both challenge and beautyThe chance to support Texas conservation while enjoying an unforgettable trail-running experience About the Texas Agricultural Land Trust The Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT) conserves the Texas heritage of private working lands. Through voluntary conservation easements, TALT partners with landowners to protect the farms, ranches, water resources, wildlife habitat, and open spaces that sustain all Texans. With more than 325,000 acres conserved across the state, TALT is helping ensure that the public benefits provided by private working lands continue for generations to come. Your participation in Run for the Range directly supports this mission. A Special Thank You The Run for the Range would not be possible without the generosity of Kelly and Kristyn Langdon and the entire Langdon family. By opening Fall Creek Ranch to runners and conservation supporters, they provide a rare opportunity to experience a working ranch that has been permanently protected through a conservation easement. Their commitment to the land ensures that the ranch's natural resources, wildlife habitat, scenic beauty, and agricultural heritage will remain intact for future generations.
