Great Transmountain Bicycle Chase

This event is a fundraiser, 100 percent of the proceeds benefit El Pasoans Fighting Hunger!Riders ( Chaser/Racers ) ride for five (5) miles up the West Side of Transmountain Road (XMNT) from Resler to the Top! At the top, enjoy water, Gatorade, and snacks. Once all the riders arrive, we will announce and award the Winners.1st Prize: $1002nd Prize: $753rd Prize: $50Situation:o the penny farthing rider has never ridden up, or trained on, XMNT with the high-wheel bicycle; with an estimated speed of 7.5 miles per hour, it will take 40 minutes to complete the five-mile climb - If He Makes It, therefore, he gets a 20-minute handicap leaving at 6:40 a.m.o the fastest Chaser/Racers are expected to complete the climb in less than 20 minutes, therefore they start at 7:00 a.m.Rules:o Route: Chaser/Racers turn right from the parking lot onto Resler, then right onto the XMNT access road, once access road merges with XMNT road, stay to the right in the bike lane at all timeso motorcycle police will provide traffic control up XMNT onlyo Chaser/Racers must catch and pass the penny farthing rider to win a Cash Prize!o Participants may not touch the penny farthing rider at any timeo after the brief ceremony at the top, the event concludes and riders descend XMNT on their own without police support o No Parking At The Top Rest Area, Please Park At The Larger Rest Area Just Below Follow the link for more ways to help El Pasoans Fighting Hunger: https://elpasoansfightinghunger.org/ - - - - - - - THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS EVENT - - - - - - - -
