Independence from Hunger Walk / Run

According to the USDA’s most recent food security survey 13.5%, or 18 million, U.S. households face food insecurity, and more than 6 million of those households have children. Summer months present additional challenges. Without nutrition coming from schools, Move for Hunger estimates that 22 million children experience summer hunger every year. From June 25 to July 31, the campaign will collect in-store and online donations as well as pre-made bags of nonperishable foods at Grocery Outlet’s 540+ locations across the country.
