The Big Run 5k

Celebrate Global Running Day with Fleet Feet at The Big Run presented by Brooks. This community 5k brings together runners from all paths and is all about summer vibes, shared memories and the kind of runner’s high that keeps you coming back. And it wouldn't be Global Running Day without the crew! Our friends at 515 Run Club, Cool Runnings, Gratitude Running, and Capital Striders will all be there—so you can meet the people, find your pace, and explore all of the incredible clubs that make running in Des Moines so special! Take advantage of a special demo run from Brooks—try out the latest shoes for free during the run and stick around for raffles featuring Brooks shoes and Brooks swag bags! Afterward, hang out with us at SingleSpeed Brewing Co. for a casual post-run social. Enjoy live music, grab a drink and some food, swap stories, and check out each club’s table to learn more. We’re also giving back to the community with a shoe drive—bring a gently used pair of running shoes to donate to local shelters and track programs and help keep more people moving.
