Looking to train for a triathlon or open water event? As one of the few YMCA centers in the country situated on a waterfront, the Lake Norman YMCA offers unique open water swim opportunities. 500 meter swim course with life guards on a low boat traffic 14 acre lake. Swimmers are welcome to complete multiple laps of the course if desired. Course is open from 8-11am Swimmers can arrive at 7:30 am for check in and may begin the course anytime between 8 and 10:45am. Bright color swim cap is required. Flotation buoys recommended for beginners.
