The Epilepsy Association is excited to be at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo hosting its annual race. Outrace Epilepsy! is the new name for the event, previously know as Race the River. Join us for our 10K and 5K courses as well as a 1-mile fun walk/run through the beautiful zoo. The races will begin around 8:30AM. Online registration closes at 9AM on Friday, August 14. Day of registration fees will increase by $5. After the race, the fun doesn't have to end! All-day admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is included with your Outrace Epilepsy! registration! ALL spectators wanting to come cheer on runners/walkers will need to purchase tickets to enter the zoo, even if you are a zoo member. Pre-Registration Fees:10K- $45.005K- $35.001-Mile- $25.00*all registration fees will increase by $5 for day of registration All registration includes:-Official Outrace Epilepsy! promotional item-Free zoo access after the race ends-Chip timing for the 10K and 5K races-Custom top finisher medals-Post race refreshments -Online results posted same day-And more! Below are simple ways to fundraise for this event: 1. Sign up for the race and to become a fundraiser or start a fundraising team during registration: Reach out to your friends, family, colleagues, and local businesses to donate to help reach your team’s over-all goal which helps to raise epilepsy awareness! 2.Set your goal: We suggest $500 for individuals and $2,000 for teams. Those who raise $250+ earn an exclusive Outrace Epilepsy! prize (shipped after event)Those who raise $500+ get the exclusive prize and their race registration fee re-funded back to them. 3. Fund-Your-Run: Get sponsored for your run! Ask friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor you per mile. This is an easy way to get others involved and to quickly reach your personal fundraising goal. All proceeds from the race will go directly to the Epilepsy Association’s free local programs and services which assist those affected by epilepsy in Northeast Ohio and their families.
