Come out and join us for the 2026 Team Red Dragon MTB race, presented by the CCAP and Berlin High School Ridin' Redcoats. This standard XC style-course is fast, fun, and flowy! It is held at the Hatchery Brook Conservation area. This is the one day a year that it is open to Mountain Bike riding and racing so don't miss out.This race qualifies for USA Cycling XC Points. A USAC annual or one-day license is required. The course is only open to bikes on race day. Some subtle changes may be made, but the trails used will remain the same.2026 Courses HerePre-riding: The Preserve is NOT open to pre-riding on ANY DAY before event day. There will be times slotted before/in between races for riders to pre-ride the course on race day. We encourage everyone to use those times to get a feel for the course before racing it. The venue will be open to pre-riding for the following times on race day; these times are approximate and may be subject to change. Please make sure ALL racers are off-course before pre-riding.1) 7:30 am - 8:50 am2) 11:10 am - 11:40 am (Please be on course by 11:15am to allow time for a full lap & staging)The conservation commission graciously allows us to race bikes in this beautiful preserve for this one day a year! We want to continue to foster a positive relationship with them. If you decide to check out the course on foot, please remember to be respectful to the daily users, the property owners, and the land itself. Also, note that is a town-resident preserve. If you are not a resident of the town we ask that you do not regularly visit this preserve.Check-in: All riders must check-in and pick up their number plates before their race. Check-in at registration will open at 7:30 am and flow until 15 minutes before each race. Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time to check in.Parking: Street Parking will be available on ONE SIDE OF THE ROAD on Liden Dr/Summit Wood Drive next to the venue (654 Orchard Rd, Berlin, CT). Please follow the appropriate signage and do not block the obvious driving lanes. Together, in partnership with the other series promoters, we aim to grow the cycling community through grassroots development-style racing. Come out and support!_______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ADDITIONAL DETAILS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION:The courses will consist of grassy fields, double and single track that will challenge everyone. Each lap is 3.5 miles with roughly 300 feet of elevation gain. DAY-OF REGISTRATION will be available for an extra $10, limited to 5 spots per category. This is a USA Cycling sanctioned event and annual or one- day ($15) licenses are required. All USAC rules apply. NOTE: MOUNTAIN BIKES WITHOUT BAR ENDS ONLY. HELMETS AND SIGNED RELEASE ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE! PARKING IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY ON LINDEN DR & SUMMIT WOOD DR, BERLIN, CT 06037. ALL OTHERS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNER'S EXPENSE.DO NOT RIDE THE COURSE ANY DAY OTHER THAN RACE DAY.
